Whenever the children from Risby go on a school trip, take part in an event or meet visitors to the school, they are praised for their behaviour, their manners, their confidence and their friendliness and we want to make sure people know exactly which school they belong to. Our identity as a school is established through our school uniform and we are particularly fortunate at Risby to have such a distinctive jade green school uniform:
Black or grey: Trousers, skirts, pinafore dresses or shorts.
White or jade: Polo shirt, shirt or blouse.
Jade: Jumper with school logo or cardigan with school logo.
Jade & white gingham: Summer dress
Black or grey or white: Socks or tights.
Plain black shoes.
Parents are asked to ensure that all items are labelled clearly with their child’s name.
Hair accessories should be simple and, if possible, in school colours.
For safety reasons we ask that the children do not wear jewellery in school.
For health reasons it is important that children are properly dressed for physical activity and PE kit should be kept in a named drawstring bag. Our PE Kit is:
Shorts or leggings or tracksuit bottoms: Black.
Round-necked sweatshirt: Any colour, but must be plain.
The uniform is designed to be practical, maintainable and good value for money and the elements of the uniform that are specific to the school can either be bought directly from Aubyn Davies' shop at:
81, St John's Street, Bury St Edmunds IP33 1SQ
or ordered direct from Aubyn Davies at:

Second-hand uniform is also available to parents and carers from the PTA Uniform Shed on the school playing field. The Uniform Shed is open at drop off and pick up. If parents or carers have donations for the Uniform Shed, these can be left at the School Office for the PTA team to collect.
