Vision and Values

Our vision is for all children to:

Believe. Grow. Shine.

'The Parable of the Sower’ (Matthew 13, 1–9 & 18–23).

'A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up the plants were scorched and they withered because they had no root. Other seeds fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop - a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.'

In order to grow and shine, our children need good soil and we believe we provide this through our focus on a broad, rich, creative and balanced curriculum; our outstanding teaching and learning; our Christian values; our commitment to community and our shared belief that every child truly matters.

The sowers are our staff; our governors; the diocese; our parents and carers and the community that surrounds us: scattering amongst our seedlings, the seeds of a broad and balanced curriculum and the values we have chosen to live by.

The soil we provide is good and supports our children, allowing them to put down strong roots and to grow and shine, free from the thorns of self-doubt.

Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop - a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

Throughout the whole school year, our vision is underpinned by seven Christian values that are woven into the very fabric of the school and which we expect every member of the school community to model:
